Kid Robot x Che

Kid Robot has mixed hot pink with Frank Kozik's "dead che" to create only 50 of the above figurines. I envy the lucky collectors! Available at kidrobot.com.

Alain Delorme x Totems

Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been less than internet capable lately! Hopefully this will get fixed soon. In the meantime here's a nice long post complete with loads of visual love. Photography by Alain Delorme entitled "Totems" - a series of shots depicting Shanghai's street reality: "The new totems of a transforming society; a factory of the world as well as an El Dorado for the world's economy." The photos are exposed at the Galerie Magda Danysz in Paris until the 25th of September.

Dalton Ghetti

I'm going to be honest with you here; I don't 100% believe this is real. It's just too cool - the amount of work, patience and stability necessary to create these pieces of art baffles me. Brazilian-American Dalton Ghetti uses a sculpting knife, razor blade and/or sewing needle to create these pencil sculptures and the coolest part? He just gives them away to his friends and whatnot. Pro-bono pencil art!

P.S. I discovered an AWESOME pencil-ized blog. Take a peep!

Christophe Michalak x Plaza Athénée

Christope Michalak, chef patissier at Paris' luxurious Plaza Athénée, has created his own version of a F/W 'lookbook' for his delectable creations. Top to bottom: Canadian maple syrup mousse and pear infused biscuit financier, citronnelle and ginger covered in cremeux and Carribean chocolate, Baba au Rhum covered in vanilla whipped cream, meringue and Ardèche bavaroise au marons, as well as Filipino pineapple, banana and mango cookies. YUM!

Poster Text

I remember seeing a poster of a very identifiable Bob Marley silhouette on a friend's wall in college. The thick columns in the back made up the lyrics of every one of his iconic songs. I recently saw these posters created with the texts of similarly iconic books, which I'd love to have! I imagine them framed in a child's room, perhaps. Check out more on Geekiz!
