Steampunk

I'm aware that I'm a little tardy for the party on this one, but I just must say how much I adore these Alexander McQueen 2010 "steampunk" heels. The industrial metal adornments play with the either super tough or super girly parts of the shoe, making for perhaps the only actually wearable footwear of the Spring 2010 collection. (Click the link to see the other crazy creations for your feet). I especially like the ballerina ones at the bottom of this post. Tres good girl gone bad - these would've been perfect for a character in the Fifth Element or something - futuristic yet current. Love it!

Ponder this.
Found this on Gizmodo. Click on it and make it bigger. Yes, I'm a geek. Total geek. Über-geek. With an umlaut - a giant one apparently because apple+c in combination with the search for a regular capitalized umlauted (?) "u" doesn't work properly in Google. But I thought this was an interesting visual interpretation of the magnitude of the interwebz so I wanted to share it with you. Aw, how nice am I? Ok, seriously speaking though, it's crazy - I could be in the New York Times! Well, not really, but sort of. Metaphorically, at least. And as the writers of Geekologie say, "I've mastered the magic of metaphors and I'm adding it to my wizard resumé."
