Catherine Malandrino x Lacoste

Coming out tomorrow 04.22.2011, the new collaboration between Malandrino and Lacoste is a playfully classic mix of tennis-tradition and and edgy silhouettes, all topped off with the emblematic crocodile. I'm loving the short white pointelle dress with its barely-there "belt". Catherine Malandrino keeps true to her favorite dolman sleeves, off the shoulder tops, wide leg pants and girly curve-loving dresses while maintaining Lacoste characteristics. Just one question though: the Catherine look-a-like model = irony or intention? Sweet!

Prints

Akris
Trend-spotting: Prints. Bold, in-your-face eye-catchers for your apparel. (Remember the McQueen smoke print?) From fruits to landscapes to celestial to geometric, spring 2011 is going to be quite the expressive season. I personally love the Carven prints, which range from colorful planetary interpretations to classic black and white architectural structures. Flattering, funky and fun. Wonderful!

It gives you wiiings!
Remember these Jeremy Scott x Adidas wings high-tops?

They now come in a summer-ier, more feminine version! (and I NEED THEM!!!)
Thank you Matt Bernson - maybe he was inspired by Hermes (messenger to the gods, not the brand...)?
P.S. These Catherine Malandrino boots ain't too shabby, either.

Nail Week
There are some crazy digit stylez on the runway this season (although I think I love the nudes the most). I went bonkers for the bright silver and golds as well, but don't think that my forlorn and bitten nails would look as perfect.

M.I.A. - the paint is even weaved along her nails! Must've taken one hell of a manicurist to do that kind of work... or one amazing nail sticker kit.

two necklaces and a dress

Fabulous dress by Chanel - I'm very much into delicate lacy detailing right now and, of course, I love the sparkly shoulder additions.
