Catherine Malandrino x Lacoste

Coming out tomorrow 04.22.2011, the new collaboration between Malandrino and Lacoste is a playfully classic mix of tennis-tradition and and edgy silhouettes, all topped off with the emblematic crocodile. I'm loving the short white pointelle dress with its barely-there "belt". Catherine Malandrino keeps true to her favorite dolman sleeves, off the shoulder tops, wide leg pants and girly curve-loving dresses while maintaining Lacoste characteristics. Just one question though: the Catherine look-a-like model = irony or intention? Sweet!

Lacoste x Li Xiaofeng

Li Xiaofeng, Chinese artist extraordinaire, created these versions of the Lacoste favorites (among others) using porcelain. They are currently at Paris' Musee des Arts et des Metiers, a museum in Paris that houses a collection of quite striking peices including Foucault's pundulum. Although they probably aren't the most comfortable, Xiaofeng's polos are certainly appropriate for an art collection of the aforementioned sort. Creative!
