Help Haiti

I'd like to take a moment to send a bit of hope down to the brave Haitians and everyone else affected by this horrific earthquake. Haitian President Rene Preval has said that hundreds of thousands of people are feared dead after the 7.0 quake, which first hit about 10 miles south-west from Port-au-Prince and was followed by two after shocks of 5.9 and 5.5 magnitude (BBC). I'm relieved to hear that a number of nations are preparing to send aid as quickly as possible (this includes the US, UK and Venezuela). Donate to MSF/Doctors without borders HERE, visit the RedCross's website and you can also check out CNN's list to see how you can help.

  1. Thank you that lovely tribute. The photo tells it all, speed ans energy crushed by the force of nature. Thank you for making it easier to help and thank you for thinking of them and contributing in this way.
Medecins sans Frontières does a fantastic job and is always among the first on the site of a disaster but they also work quietly all year round around the world in often difficult situations, medically, politically and materially. They take volunteers in all fields and you don't have to be a doctor or a nurse to work with them. There site explains everything if you want to help.
